Description
Model of 'Locomotion' crossing a bridge. Locomotion was built by Robert Stephenson & Co in 1825, and was first used to haul the special train which opened the Stockton and Darlington Railway in September of that year. After the opening it was used to haul freight wagons and a passenger carriage called the 'Experiment'.
