Incense bound by red cotton yarn to be burned for cleansing and sending out prayers as used by Native Americans in 'Smudging' ceremonies. Distributed by Matchless Gifts, Laguna Niguel, California, USA. Smudging, or using the smoke created by burning certain plants, is a way of cleansing the energies of people, objects and places. This ancient ceremony is still used in many traditions throughout the world.
