Description
The Bournemouth Belle, hauled by a Merchant Navy class 4-6-2 locomotive number 21 C 15 "Rotterdam Lloyd" at Winchfield, Hampshire, by Maurice Earley, 1947. The Bournemouth Belle ran from Waterloo to Bournemouth. It started running in 1930 on Sundays only, and ran in the week from 1936 onwards. The journey took around two hours. The train was a Pullman service, which meant the acommodation was very luxurious and comfortable.
