Description
Stockport Viaduct, on the London & North Western Railway, by A F Tait. Stockport Viaduct, which crosses the River Mersey, is the largest brick viaduct in Europe. It was built in 1842 and was widened at the end of the 19th century by the London & North Western Railway.
