Description
The London & North Western Railway's Euston station hotel, London, 1915. This was the first railway company hotel to be built in Britain when it was completed in 1839. This extension, designed by J McLaren, was built in 1881 to link its two wings, at a cost of £30,000. The 141-bed hotel was demolished in 1963 to make way for the new Euston station buildings.This image, taken by an LNWR photographer, was published as a postcard and was sold or given to the company's passengers.
