Description
This photograph was taken to publicise holidays in Cornwall. People sailed to St Michael's Mount when the tide was high and visited the castle and priory on the island. The West Country was a very popular destination at this time for holidays and day trips. Many people visited the seaside in the belief that the sea air was good for them.
