A photograph of a woman with three large rag dolls, taken by Cardew for the Daily Herald newspaper on 26 October, 1932. These rag dolls had soft cloth bodies with moulded faces. They were produced by the Dean's Rag Book Company Ltd, a famous British toy manufacturer of the mid-twentieth century. This photograph has been selected from the Daily Herald Archive, a collection of over three million photographs. The archive holds work of international, national and local importance by both staff and agency photographers.
