A photograph of a sewing machinist at work in the Hope Bros clothing factory, taken by Cardew for the Daily Herald newspaper on 29 Febraury, 1932. This woman is using a Singer sewing machine to stitch men's shirt collars. This photograph has been selected from the Daily Herald Archive, a collection of over three million photographs.
