Description
Print lampooning phrenology and the phrenologist and physicist Franz Joseph Gall (1758-1828) who proposed that the contours of the skull followed the brain's shape, with each region responsible for an aspect of personality or behaviour. Caricatures in a group of six vignette scenes illustrate various faculties defined by Gall.
