The Reading Room at the British Museum

A photograph of the Reading Room in the Great Court of the British Museum in London, taken in about 1930. It was the main reading room of the British Library until 1997. This photograph has been selected from the Daily Herald Archive, a collection of over three million photographs. The archive holds work of international, national and local importance by both staff and agency photographers.
