Description
With its elegant train shed designed by William Barlow and the magnificent frontage of Sir George Gilbert Scott's (1811-1878) Midland Grand Hotel, St Pancras station, Euston Road, was the most ornate of London's termini. The hotel, however, proved difficult to adapt to the needs of the twentieth century and was eventually converted to offices. Photograph posibly by Bedford Lemere.
