Description
Coloured engraving by G Townsend showing a railway line running on the English coastline, opposite St Michael's Mount. A Benedictine Priory was built on St Michael's Mount, which lies just off the coast of Cornwall, in the 12th century. The mount is connected to the mainland by a granite causeway, only revealed when the tide is out.
