Line engraving by R Brandard after J M W Turner. A locomotive is pictured speeding acros a railway bridge, posibly Maidenhead Bridge which croses the River Thames. In front of the train a hare can be seen running, a cipher of natural speed in comparison to the industrial speed the locomotive represents.
