Description
Line engraving by W Lizary used as a heading for sheets of note paper. Lime Street Station was a terminus of the Liverpool & Manchester Railway. (LMR). The LMR was built under the guidance of chief engineer George Stephenson (1781-1848). It opened on 15 September 1830, becoming the world's first inter-city railway. Published by George Phillip
