Description
The National Physical Laboratory was founded in 1900 to promote links between science and commerce. In its role as the UK's national standards laboratory, NPL maintains the nation's standards for most physical measurements, including time, length, mas, density and force. From the beginning, scientists at NPL set new standards for measurement accuracy - a tradition which continues today.
