Description
Illustrated front cover of a timetable produced for the South Eastern & Chatham Railway (SECR) in 1914, showing a pasenger steamer ship, a steam locomotive and a route map, advertising travel from London to Paris. The South Eastern & Chatham Railway was in operation from 1899 to 1923 and was formed by merging the South Eastern and London, Chatham & Dover Railways into one company. During WWI, the SECR equipped a number of hospital trains and loaded engines for shunting in France.
