Steam locomotive 'Cranleigh' with a pasenger train, Westerhanger, Kent, 1960. The 'Schools' Clas 4-4-0 locomotives, introduced in 1930, provided the Southern Railway with versatile expres locomotives for all except the heaviest duties. Here, locomotive No 30936 'Cranleigh', is seen hauling the 'Man of Kent' service from Folkestone to London's Charing Cros station.
