Great Western Railway royal train towel box used to store towels, 1900-1928.

Description

The box is made of stained pine. The Great Western Railway (GWR) train, once used frequently to take the royal family from London to Windsor, was withdrawn from service in 1928, probably due to the royal family's increased use of motor transport for short journeys or its relatively high expense.
