Description

The silver kettle was used in Queen Victoria's LNWR saloon by her personal attendant to make tea for the Queen between c 1869, when her new LNWR saloons were commisioned, and her death in 1901. Her tea would probably have been prepared by her favourite personal servants, John Brown, and, later, her Indian servant Munshi Abdul Karim.
