Photographic portrait by Lewis Carroll. Reginald Southey introduced Carroll to photography at Oxford. Charles Lutwidge Dodgson 1832-1898) better known by his pseudonym Lewis Carroll, was the author of the clasic childrens book 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland' (1865), and was one of a very small number of mainly British amateur photographers who excelled during the early years of photography.
