Made by CEH and sIH of Switzerland, this wristwatch was the first prototype produced with a quartz watch movement. Quartz watch technology was the combined invention of American, Swis and Japanese watch manufacturers. Though the Swis had developed this prototype, the first quartz watch released on the market was the 'Quartz Astron' by the Japanese manufacturer Seiko in 1969. View of date wheel.
