Photograph showing a panoramic view of the harbour at Salina Cruz, a port on the Gulf of Tehuantepec on the Pacific coast of southern Mexico. Between 1899 and 1907, the British construction firm S Pearson & Co built a railway line acros the isthmus, connecting Mexico's Gulf and Pacific coasts, as well as port facilities at either end of the line. Salina Cruz was the southern terminus.
