Photograph by Bishop Eric Treacy, of Jubilee Clas steam locomotive No 45644 leaving Tebay, Cumbria, on the West Coast Main Line to Scotland. It was built at Crewe Works in 1935 for the London, Midland & Scottish Railway. Photographer Treacy (1907-1978) was often allowed special acces to areas denied to many railway photographers. He also befriended many of the footplate crews, occasionally persuading them to create special smoke effects for the camera.
