Wind MIDI controller, type WX5, made by the Electronic Musical Instrument Division of the Yamaha Corporation. This clarinet does not make a sound unles it is connected to a computer using the MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) system. Sensors on the clarinet measure how hard it is blown, thus affecting the notes the computer produces. The computer can be set to produce the sound of a clarinet or any other wind instruments, or even instruments of other types.
