Description

Canadian pioneers clearing-up after the Paschendaele advance, 1917. Britain's declaration of war automatically included all of her empire, however, Canada, like the other Dominions, responded loyally and quickly volunteered troops. Canadian troops fought for the Allied powers at the Second Battle of Ypres, Vimy Ridge, Paschendaele, the Battle of the Somme and Cambri.
