Description

Used for producing cylindrical metalwork, this was of the type invented by Henry Maudslay (1771-1831) the English precision toolmaker and engineer. In 1797 Maudslay was employed by the lock-maker Joseph Bramah (1749-1814) for the construction of tools to use for the large-scale production of his locks.
