A'Trading Food' design logo from the Food for Thought Gallery, Science Museum, London. Trade is theoretically a means whereby food can pas from areas of plenty to places where there is scarcity. In practice, however, the majority of famines in recent times, particularly in Africa, have been alleviated by masive aid shipments rather than through trade and the workings of the market.
