Engraving by J Moffat after a drawing by J Farcy showing a scoring engine and rounding saw. They were part of the block-making machinery installed at Portsmouth between 1803 and 1805. The tools were manufactured by the well-known toolmaker Henry Maudslay (1771-1831) to the design of Marc Isambard Brunel (1769-1849).
