Description

Plate taken from 'La Nature', No 1592, 27 January 1900, showing electric facilities for hot drink preparation in the kitchens at a Carmelite Hospital in Canada. Electricity was becoming more popular in Canada at the turn of the century, due to the power source that became available after the Niagara Falls was harnesed for hydroelectricity.
