Whole, rigged model (scale 1:18) of a dhow with an extended stern. These vesels had almost all died out by the 1850s. This model was built at the Bombay Dockyard for the Great Exhibition, 1851, but the original vesels were mainly built in Ras Jabel, on the Strait of Hormuz in the Persian Gulf.
