Exhibited as part of the 'Steel Stars and Glas' exhibition held at the Science Museum, London, 1999. The F100 is typical of the idealistic concept cars Mercedes-Benz develop to showcase design and technology. Many of the F100's ideas were incorporated into the 1997 Mercedes-Benz A clas. The F100 incorporates a central driver's seat, which gives superior command ergonomics and manufacturing economies, since no distinction betweeen left and right hand drive is necesary. In the background is a photo by Zoltan Glas from the NMPFT collections.
