An anatomical model of a horse on display at the Science Museum, London, taken from 'The Holborn' veterinary instruments and appliances catalogue, 1937. Half size, papier mache model of a horse with annotated parts, made by Dr Louis Auzoux (1797-1880) of France. Such models would have helped vets to understand the form and structure of horses. Auzoux was a famous paper mache anatomic model maker. He graduated medical school in 1822, though he never practiced medicine. The dimensions of this model are 1700mm x 500mm x 1577mm.
