IBM XT personal computer, 1983.

IBM introduced the first personal computer, the PC, in 1981. This model, the XT (eXtended Technology) was the succesor to the PC. Although it did have enhanced features including a hard drive (the first computer to feature one), a CGA graphics card and increased memory, it was not regarded as being particularly innovative technologically.
