Description

'A nurse fitting a gas mask onto one kiddie, while the others look on as best they can through their gas masks. These British children, evacuated from London to escape the horrors of air raids and the dangers of continually living in shelters, have found peace and happines at a new home, London County Council Residential School at Ashford, Middlesex'.
