Description

This suit, made of leather by Dainese, was worn by Carl Fogarty (b 1966) during a crash at Misano early in the 1996 World Superbike Championship. Despite falling off whilst travelling at nearly 100 miles per hour, it was the leather, not Carl's skin which wore away on the track surface. Side view.
