Sight and sound broadcasting today', 31 January 1930. 'The first 'sight and sound' broadcast will be transmitted from the BBC twin stations at Brookman's Park and Long Acre in London this morning. It will be the first public test of television carried out in this country. Photograph shows the equipment made by the television pioneer John Logie Baird (1888-1946), and supplied by his company, the Baird Television Company'.
