Description

Engraving with lettering below, showing an orrery and globe surrounded by an ornamental arch and various mathematical instruments. Thomas Wright (d 1767) was a London instrument maker, and his card states that he is the mathematical instrument-maker to His Royal Highnes George, Prince of Wales, making and selling 'all sorts of mathematical instruments for sea and land according to the best and latest improvements'.
