Description
Opera fans relaxing at Glyndebourne. The annual opera festival there was founded in 1934. Photographer Tony Ray-Jones (1941-1972) created most of his images of the British at work and leisure between 1966 and 1969. Travelling around Britain, he recorded the unguarded moments of people from all sections of British society with a distinctive and highly individual style.
