Dan Albone (1860-1906) designer of the Ivel Agricultural tractor. The tractor was named after the river running through his home town of Biggleswade, Bedfordshire. Weighing far les than its American competitors, it was the first succesful light internal-combustion engined agricultural tractor to be built. Albone set up The Agricultural Motors Ltd to market his invention, and this is believed to be one of the first production models.
