An example of the Woodburytype proces, taken from the book 'Men of Mark' (London, 1876) photographed by Lock & Whitfield. Colonel John Wilson-Patten (1802-1892) was educated at Eton and Magdalen College, Oxford, and served as Conservative MP for Lancashire from 1830-1874. He became Chief Secretary for Ireland under Disraeli (1804-1881) in 1868, and was created Baron Winmarleigh in 1874.
