Lady of the Lake', 1862. Model (scale 1:8). This is a London and North Western Railway (L&NWR) 2- 2-2 expres pasenger locomotive, one of 60 'Problem' clas locomotives designed by John Ramsbottom and built at the Crewe Works between 1859 and 1865. The weight of the engine and the tender in working order was 44 1/2 tons and the overall length was 42.8 feet. It was shown at the 1862 exhibition and was broken up in 1906. It is shown here in the condition as rebuilt in 1876.
