John Marston and Co Ltd of Wolverhampton produced the Sunbeam bicycle; with the 'Golden Sunbeam' having the highest reputation for quality, durability and easy running. It was made to the highest standards of design, manufacture and finish. A robust two-speed epicyclic gear is incorporated with the pedal bracket, and is operated by a lever on the top frame tube through a wire cable. The gear asembly, driving chain and sprockets are completely enclosed in a sheet steel case.
