Sectioned engine unit used in the Velocette type LE200 motorcycle, produced in 1948. The engine provided a machine with a smooth, flexible quiet operation, and comfortable riding combined with good weather protection and economical running and maintenance costs. The engine could maintain an average speed of 40/45 mph with a petrol consumption of about 100 miles per gallon.
