Tank wagon, by Charles Roberts and Co Ltd, 1924. Model (scale 1:6). This model represents a 14 ton tank wagon designed for carrying hydrochloric acid in bulk, and as such is fully lined and sealed with ebonite, a hard black rubber (supplied by Macklinlops Ltd). The tank is 5.96 feet in diameter and 17.29 feet long inside the lining, and has a net capacity of 2915 gallons. The running gear and the wagon frame, which is well stayed and trused, were constructed in accordance with the Railway Clearing House Regulations of 1907. Side view on plinth.
