Mixed traffic electric locomotive, 1948, serial no 20003. This model (scale 1:6) represents an electric locomotive designed by O V Bulleid and A Raworth for British Railways Southern Region. With this locomotive, Bulleid and Raworth managed to combine all the technical knowledge gained from testing, as prototypes, two previous locomotives in the same clas, and continue to make use of Southern Region's standard conductor rails and collector shoes. It was the first in the country to haul a scheduled boat train regularly between London and the south coast.
