Bowden speedometer, 1911.

This type of centrifugal speed indicator and mileage recorder for motor cars was patented by C Spratt and F J Shenton in 1908 and made by Bowden (Engineers). The speedometer reads from 5 to 50 miles per hour and the mileage can be recorded up to 10,000 miles.
