Model (scale 1:4). Following on from such pioneering manufacturers as Phillips, the design of this machine by W J Tilley represents the rapid development of horse-drawn maunal fire engines in the early 19th century. His was a very practical machine, and its basic construction is very similar to those used toward the end of the century, such as the very succesful London Brigade standardised manuals. Side view.
