The view of Lake Avernus taken from the road between Puzzoli and Cuma, near Naples, showing (2) the outside of the cove of Monte Nuovo, (3) Lake Lucrine, (4) Baia, famed for its ancient ruins and (6) the ruins of the Temple of Proserpine.
