Description

Electric locomotive No 13 from the City & South London Railway, 1890. This locomotive was built by Mather and Platt in asociation with Beyer Peacock, and was built for the first major electrically operated railway in Britain. The locomotive had two motors weighing 4 1/2 tons each which were designed to run in either direction.
