'Typus Logica', hand-coloured wood-cut showing a typical medieval hunting scene with two hounds chasing a hare, followed by a man on foot carrying a bow, a sword, and blowing a hunting horn from which roses emerge. From the book of Logic, part of the Margarita Philosophica by Gregorius Reisch. First printed in 1503, it is divided into twelve 'books', with each one dealing with the Sciences of Grammar, Dialectic, Rhetoric, Arithmetic, Music, Geometry, Astronomy, Principles of Natural Philosophy, Origin of Natural Objects, Psychology, Logic and Ethics.
